This is what the owner of Klein Recycling wrote back to us (in black ink) after we send them the pictures of their ICW's.
Then, we replied to Rick in red ink
This article contain the pictures that we send to the owner. It also contain the screen shot of the email.
We bought total of 10 (40x") containers of ICW (insulated copper wire) cables with Klein Recycling. We supposed to get ICW cable with 45% Cu (as stated on the contract) but it turns out to be 34~35%Cu only!!!
We did not expect a company this size to cheat like this!
I post a contract invoice that Klein Recycling (The scrap metal cheater company) gave us.
Invoice ( 45% Cu ICW cables) 1
Invoice ( 45% Cu ICW cables) 2
The following are pictures of the bales that we see the 1st time when we visit Klein Recycling's metal scrap yard, it looks fine (from outside the bales) as you can see. These pictures was taken by myself at Klein Recycling NJ yard.
And the pictures below are taken after the container arrived at our processing center in Taiwan.
There are iron pipes in every bales and the orange cable has no copper inside.
Picture can say a thousand words......
You do not put iron pipes inside and sell them as ICW cables.....this is what cheater Klein recycling does. Only cheater will sell not as described !!!
We have vendors from West coast and we found Klein Recycling from Yellow Pages and thought they will be good vendor since there yards are not small.
we started to do business with Klein Recycling and start buying metal scrap from them is because we need to buy large amount of scraps (ex. for the ICW cable, we need around 3000 mt per month) for our metal scrap factories in both China and Taiwan.
We choose this vendor and was giving them a chance to become our main supplier from the East coast.
We went to Klein Recycling's yard only once and meet their VP (Marc Kaplan) in person. Since we do business base on dignity and honesty, we thought we can start to do some business with them right away.....but we were wrong!!! We were cheated!!!
The people that I contacted thru these period of time are Lori Treier and Marc Kaplan( Marc is the VP of Klein Recycling ). As far as people that do scrap business, we thought Klein Recycling is a company that you can trust and do business with..... THINK AGAIN !
If you are a Scrap Metal Buyer or Seller, you must read this blog!
